Global Physical Operations Support UK Armed Forces Covenant
London, February 2020
As part of the World Fuel Services Europe commitment to the UK Armed Forces Covenant and the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) Foundation, two British Army senior soldiers – Warrant Officers Iain Baynham and Jamie Stewart – completed a 4 weeks employment placement with Global Physical Operations this month. Both soldiers are RLC Petroleum Operators, each with over 20 years military experience.
The aim is to help selected service personnel prepare for their transition to civilian employment, as veterans, after a full military career. As well as spending time in the London office with senior staff which included practice job interviews and CV preparation, Iain and Jamie each got management and hands-on work experience with Watson fuel, around southern England, and with World Fuel Services Aviation at Luton and Birmingham airports. The month culminated with their individual research project presentations to senior management in London. We are proud to continue supporting those who have served their country with distinction.- London, February 2020
